Ladies Night Out is today

Today is Ladies’ Night Out 2024, and with that there will be local stores open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and pop-ups open from 4 to 8 p.m.

New this year, according to Anna Woodward, Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce director, are larger in-store prizes and giveaway items.

“Our largest shopping event of the year includes nearly 40 participating local stores and pop-up vendors,” Woodward said.

So ladies, grab the plastic and use it with enthusiasm. There are so many choices:

— Enjoy witch’s hats and finger treats at Interior Spaces, Inc. Pop-up vendors include Turning Heads Salon & Hat Shop, Shelli Hassebrock Jewelry Designs, Treasure Acres, and Pampered Chef Cindi Sweedler, offering caramel apple salsa and caramel apple muffins.

— Fill your Gilbert Jewelers wish list and enjoy wine spritzers and cookies; there’s 25% off sterling silver and $25 off 14K Permanent Jewelry. Enter to win a $100 gift card.

— You’ll want to check out the deals at Osweiler’s Fashions.

— At The Cat Hut, there will be 50% off adoptions and a chocolate fountain with a treat bar.

— Get a complimentary Cosmopolitan or Martini at 2nd St Emporium with the purchase of a meal.

— Special Limited Edition: 5+ leaf Monstera Albos from OverGrown LLC located in Energen Solar Group.

— Grand opening and ribbon cutting for Country Twist Boutique, 603 Second Street. Enjoy light bites from Lunchbox Market and live music from Claudia Coltrain. Pop-up vendors include Grace N Mor, O’Daisy Creations, Patch It Hat Bar, and THREE International.

— Happily Homemade will offer discounts throughout the store with a gift bag for the first 10 customers to purchase. Refreshments include mini sandwiches, veggie tray, pumpkin bar and drinks.

— At Heart N Home there will be 20% off everything (except antiques) with a Webster City Cookies pop-up.

— Denim & Babes will feature special pricing on striped long sleeve tops with a contrast neckline in various colors.

— Gilbert’s Flooring & Paint will hold a Raffle-to-Win a brand-new Malouf Mattress.

— Wildcat Distilling Co. is offering specialty a drink, Pretty in Pink; there will be 15% off the merchandise and bottles of whiskey and bourbon milled, tilled and distilled right here in the Webster City area. Pop-up vendors include Shelli’s Glass Bead Bracelets and the Nelson’s 10-year-old daughter will be selling treats and jewelry by Evie’s Beads and Treats.

— Sanctuary Yoga & Healing with Align Reiki will be offering lemonade and samples of smoothie, Zen Yogi, prepared by 2nd Street Emporium. The first 100 ladies to walk in will be offered goodie bags, prepared in partnership with Skin by Chandler and Mind, Body, Spirit Massage, also open during evening hours.

— Five 1 Five Realty & Auction House will host pop-up vendors: Independent Scentsy director Carolyn Elsberry; Tastefully Simple Inc by Shelly; Madame K’s Macrame; Ted’s Car Wash; K-Beauty; and Alicia’s Macarons — Scotcharoo, butter pecan and fall flavors.

— At Legacy Learning Boone River Valley visitors can learn more about their upcoming Quilt Retreat at Rock River Retreat, plus customizable packages for small groups. Great for day trips, bridal parties, or special get-togethers.

— At Webster City Area Chamber Office you can shop: Trades of Hope, offering artisan made gifts and décor, with all proceeds benefiting impoverished regions of the world; Creations From Sorrow Made from Loving Hands will offer specialty crochet and gift items. Plus, stop in to drop off your completed punch card to enter to win the prize drawing.

— The Gift Shop at Van Diest Medical Center is featuring new fall merchandise and decor plus a Draw-For-A-Discount promotion. It is also hosting the VDMC Auxiliary Nut Sale (formerly TTT).

— All Cultures Equal will be showing off and highlighting what has happened this past six months.

— Stop in at La Perla Jarocha Restaurant for a bite or a brew or purchase that perfect molcajete.

Today’s events will kick off a weeklong retail event from October 11 to 19, Pumpkin Palooza. Prizes, promotions, and giveaways will continue through the week inside local brick and mortar retailers. Pop-up vendors will only be hosted this evening.
