Webster City Community Theatre announces cast for ‘The Little Mermaid, Jr.’
There is someone or something that is making waves at Webster City Community Theatre this summer — and it involves mermaids, sea creatures, sailors and one unforgettable underwater adventure.
WCCT announces the cast for its upcoming production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr., opening June 19 at the theatre, 1001 Willson Ave.
Leading the cast is Joely Gilbert as the adventurous mermaid Ariel, alongside Max Anderson as Prince Eric. Ariana Annis takes on the role of Sebastian, Paxton Allen will portray King Triton and Sailor, and Abigail Heckert stars as the delightfully devious Ursula.
Additional featured cast members include Max Bailey as Flounder; Stella Meyer as Chef Louis/Eel; Greyson Heckert as Grimsby; Florencia Bailey as Carlotta; Kallista Gilbert as Flotsam; Hallie Anderson as Jetsam; Olivia Nelson as Scuttle; and Nolan Tool as Pilot.
Playing the Mersisters and Princesses are Sloane Wibholm, Grace Foltz, Guinevere “Winnie” Dial, Charly Christensen, Harper Riley and Lauren Ehn.
The production’s lively ensemble also features Rebecca Nelson, Clara Ose, Elizabeth VanDeMark, Collins Chizek, Alaina Jewsbury and Piper Williams as Eels/Chefs; Chesney Tool, Emma Nelson and Brooklyn VanDeMark as Gulls/Chefs; Enzo Annis, Lydia Kastler and Joseph Romp as Sailors; and Ruby Meyer, Aaliyah Hansen, Hadlee Johnson, Lilly Knutson, Maycee Henderson, Violet Meyer, Quinn Cain, Maggie Hendrian, Aster Kempter and Grace Barner as members of the Sea Chorus.
The production is directed by Lindsay Henderson, assisted by Nichole Ose. Meg Cain serves as music director, and Karina Murray is the administrative assistant. Sam Ose is technical director, KeVon Edwards is stage manager, and Loween Getter is costume director. Tami Hejlik serves as props director and Kelly Anderson is the parent volunteer coordinator. Al Yungclas leads set construction.
Filled with favorite songs, colorful characters and plenty of under-the-sea fun, Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. promises to be a splashy summer adventure for audiences of all ages.
Performances will be presented June 19-29 at WCCT, 1001 Willson Ave. Tickets go on sale to the general public June 1. Admission is $15 for adults and $12 for students aged 18 and younger.
