Wilson Brewer Park & Depot Foundation to meet Wednesday

The regular monthly meeting of the Wilson Brewer Park and Foundation will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Depot basement conference room. On the agenda is the approval of new board member Bill Greenley, realignment of officers, an update on the construction, setting up a new Friends of Wilson Brewer Park donation schedule, and work on an updated brochure. The Wilson Brewer park museums will be opening for the public starting in May.

Rock River Retreat celebrates grand opening

The Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce invites the community to celebrate the grand opening of Rock River Retreat with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Wednesday, April 22, at noon. Third Thursday coffee to be at Daily Freeman Journal

The Third Thursday coffee sponsored by the Webster City Chamber of Commerce, will be held at the Daily Freeman Journal Thursday. The Daily Freeman Journal is located at 720 Second St. in Webstser City. All are welcome to attend. The coffee runs from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Tours of the printing operation will also be conducted throughout the morning. Publisher Grant Gibbons will be attending to meet and greet. Gibbons became the publisher of the Dailly Freeman Journal in December of 2025. There also will be demonstrations of the online editions using both the DFJ app, tablets and laptops. ...
