Third Thursday coffee to be at Daily Freeman Journal

The Third Thursday coffee sponsored by the Webster City Chamber of Commerce, will be held at the Daily Freeman Journal Thursday. The Daily Freeman Journal is located at 720 Second St. in Webstser City. All are welcome to attend. The coffee runs from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Tours of the printing operation will also be conducted throughout the morning. Publisher Grant Gibbons will be attending to meet and greet. Gibbons became the publisher of the Dailly Freeman Journal in December of 2025. There also will be demonstrations of the online editions using both the DFJ app, tablets and laptops. ...

Hamilton County Supervisors meet at 9 a.m. today

The Hamilton County Supervisors will meet at 9 a.m. at the Hamilton County Courthouse. The Courthouse is located at 2300 Superior St. in the basement conference room. During the meeting the supervisors will hear quarterly reports from the auditor, sheriff and veteran affairs.
