Hamilton County Supervisors meet at 9 a.m. today

The Hamilton County Supervisors will meet at 9 a.m. at the Hamilton County Courthouse. The Courthouse is located at 2300 Superior St. in the basement conference room. During the meeting the supervisors will hear quarterly reports from the auditor, sheriff and veteran affairs. The 24-hour fundraising event for The Cat Hut that ties into a nationwide shelter fundraiser starts this Saturday at noon. Fundraising efforts continue throughout the week and weekend.

Webster City Women’s Club meets today

The Webster City Woman’s Club meets today. The meeting begins at 1:30 p.m at the Jane Young House, which is located at 629 Elm St. in Webster City. The greeter will be Bev Hayes, and refreshments will be served by Shirley Bowman, Joan Nessa, LoEda Paine, and Kay Klaver The program is “Everything You Never Wanted To Know About Pickleball,” presented by Carol Zills. Hospital Auxiliary scholarship deadline is Wednesday

The Van Diest Medical Center Auxiliary is offering six scholarships of $1,000 each to 2026 high school graduates wishing to pursue a career in healthcare. Individuals going back to further their education in the healthcare field will also be considered. Applicants must be a resident of Hamilton County or a graduate of any high school within Hamilton County, currently working or have a parent working at Van Diest Medical Center at the time of the award.
