Hospital Auxiliary scholarship deadline is Wednesday

The Van Diest Medical Center Auxiliary is offering six scholarships of $1,000 each to 2026 high school graduates wishing to pursue a career in healthcare. Individuals going back to further their education in the healthcare field will also be considered. Applicants must be a resident of Hamilton County or a graduate of any high school within Hamilton County, currently working or have a parent working at Van Diest Medical Center at the time of the award. Webster City Women’s Club meets Monday

The next meeting of the Webster City Woman’s Club will be Monday. The meeting begins at 1:30 p.m at the Jane Young House, which is located at 629 Elm St. in Webster City. The greeter will be Bev Hayes and refreshments will be served by Shirley Bowman, Joan Nessa, LoEda Paine, and Kay Klaver The program is “Everything You Never Wanted To Know About Pickleball” presented by Carol Zills. Second Sunday Supper is planned

LEHIGH — The Lehigh United Methodist Church will hold its Second Sunday Supper from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday at the church. This month, the church will again serve a hot turkey sandwich with potatoes and gravy, dessert and a drink. The cost is a freewill donation.

Ribbon cutting tomorrow for new Osweiler’s ownership

The Webster City Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting for the ownership change of Osweiler’s at noon Friday. Osweiler's is located at 625 Second St. in Webster City. The Webster City Community Blood Drive is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the Van Diest Medical Center Clinic Board room, located at 2350 Hospital Drive. Appointments are encouraged by calling 800-287-4903. Walk-ins are welcome. Donate blood and you will receive a Scooters cookie and a 20% coupon for the Hospital Gift shop.
