Rock River Retreat celebrates grand opening
The Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce invites the community to celebrate the grand opening of Rock River Retreat with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Wednesday, April 22, at noon.
Owned and operated by Connie Ingraham, Rock River Retreat is a welcoming new venue designed to bring people together through faith, fellowship, and community connection. The retreat’s mission is clear:
“To promote the Word of God, the love of Jesus, and the discernment of the Holy Spirit. Amen & Amen.”
Primarily serving groups and families, Rock River Retreat provides a space to strengthen faith and build meaningful relationships within the communities they serve.
The property offers a variety of unique accommodations and gathering spaces, including:
• A dorm with 20 beds
• A celebration house with 13 beds
• A rental home with seven beds
• A multi-use barn space for events and gatherings
The site also includes The Rock of Life Chapel of Praise and Prayer, formerly known as the Homer United Methodist Church, adding a meaningful spiritual component to the retreat experience.
With seating for up to 160 guests, Rock River Retreat is well-suited for weddings, retreats, community events, and special occasions.
Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, attendees are invited to stay and enjoy snacks, beverages, and guided tours of the facility.
Rock River Retreat is also planning an exciting lineup of community events this summer, including:
• May 2 at 5 p.m.: Music by After Grace, a Christian/Country group from Arkansas
• Aug. 15 at 5 p.m. Music by Love & The Outcome, a Christian family-style group
This event will feature “back-to-basics” atmosphere focused on family fun and connection
“Rock River Retreat was created to be a place where people can gather, celebrate, and grow in faith,” said Ingraham. “We are excited to open our doors and welcome the community to experience all that this space has to offer.”
The Chamber encourages community members, businesses, and organizations to attend the ribbon cutting, meet the owner, and explore this exciting new addition to Webster City.
