Cops and Bobbers fishing event is this Saturday

The Hamilton County Law Enforcement officers are sponsoring a Cops and Bobbers fishing event from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday. This will be held at the small beach shelter at Briggs Woods Park, 2490 Briggs Woods Trail. The event is free and residents do not need a fishing license, since it is being held during the Iowa DNR free fishing weekend. The program is designed for kids ages 3-14 years of age, but adults can fish with their kids. Prizes will be given only to kids in those ages. The primary election is Tuesday. Voting precincts and a sample ballot of two of the various precincts can be found on page 5. Kendall Young Library starts summer programs next week

Kendall Young Library patrons can participate in the summer library program, the theme which is “Plant a Seed, Read”. There will be events, contests, and activities that are geared for each age group: children, teens, and adults. Coffee and Create Tuesday - Friday at Legacy Learning Boone River Valley

From Tuesday through Friday each week, the Legacy Learning Art Studio offers Coffee and Create from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Located at 713 Seneca St., in Webster City, this event offers a chance to become creative, make new friends, and enjoy a good cup of coffee to start the day.
