The Octoberfest party on Sept. 27, which follows the Tour De Webster, which will be held at the Seneca Street Saloon, is an open event for the public. Those who are participating in the bike race/scenic ride, have a $45 registration fee. There is not an additional fee for those who are not in the Tour De Webster event.

BLAIRSBURG — The Blairsburg Opera House Jam session will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday. The Opera House is located on Second Street in downtown Blairsburg. Musicians, dancers and listeners are invited to attend and participate in this monthly event, which is free to everyone.
The Retired Senior Volunteer program is seeking volunteers for their pen pal program, which services Hamilton and Webster counties. This program invites volunteers to sign up to become a penpal with a student. This helps students learn the process of letter writing and communicating with a person they have not met.
