Ribbon Cutting noon today at AKP Insurance

The Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting for Monika Arends, APK Insurance, located at 1527 Superior Street at noon. The ribbon cutting is in celebration of the Arends’ new office, located in Suite D in the lower level of the Heffernan Chiropractic building. Arends has been in the health insurance industry since 2015, bringing a decade of experience to her work. She has been working out of offices in both Fort Dodge and Des Moines. Airport Fly-in Breakfast on Sunday

The Sons of the American Legion pancake breakfast will be held on Sunday morning from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. This will be at the Webster City Municipal airport. During the morning, there will also be an airport fly-in and a classic car show held in conjunction with the breakfast. All are invited and encouraged to attend.

Coffee and Create to begin Monday

The Legacy Learning Art Studio will begin a new program next Monday called Coffee & Create. This is a drop-in coffee and craft program which will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon, Monday through Thursday. All are invited to attend for art, crafts, community and conversation. Drop in for coffee, creative energy and time to connect with others. No experience needed; freewill donations will be accepted.

Hamilton County Youths compete at 4-H State Shooting Competition

Hamilton County 4-H youths demonstrated outstanding skill and sportsmanship at the 2025 Iowa 4-H Safety and Education in Shooting Sports State Shooting Competition, held August 23 at Brownell’s Big Springs Shooting Complex in Searsboro. The event brought together over 130 youth from 22 counties across Iowa to compete in six shooting disciplines. Kendall Young Library celebrates Library Card Month

Kendall Young Library will celebrate library card month. In the adult and teen departments, each new card or renewal will receive a KYL reward throughout the month. In the children’s department, each juvenile patron will receive a book with a new card or renewal. Lehigh Second Sunday Supper will be on September 14

LEHIGH — The Lehigh Methodist Church will hold its Second Sunday Supper on Sunday evening, September 14. This event is from 5 to 7 p.m. On the menu this month is chicken and noodles on mashed potatoes, with a dessert, drink and more. Carryouts are available. The cost is a freewill donation.
