Legacy Learning Sip & Paint is this Thursday

The winter sip and paint will be this Thursday from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. at the Legacy Learning-Boone River Valley located at 719 Seneca St, in Webster City. This sip and paint will create a winter scene, perfect for beginners and seasoned painters alike. Bring your favorite drink, and capture the beauty of winter on a project. All supplies are provided, for a fee of $40 per person. Step by step instruction is also provided. Spots are limited, so be sure to reserve a spot by contacting Legacy Learning at 515-835-1264.

Kendall Young Library offers Fiber Arts Gathering on fourth Thursdays

The Kendall Young Library is starting a new craft group to meet at the library monthly. This will be a Fiber Arts hangout at the library. The library is located at 1201 Willson Ave. The project time is from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Whether you are a knitter, crochet, embroider, hand-stitch or enjoy other fiber crafts, this is a low key hangout on the fourth Thursday of each month. Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce begins registration for JunqueFest 2026

Thursday is the first day the Chamber of Commerce will accept registrations for Junquefest 2026. The event is scheduled for May 23. Registrants are allowed to choose their locations, but early birds get the best locations of their choice. Businesses who are in the downtown district where Junquefest will be located need to advise the Chamber of Commerce today if they are planning to use the space in front of their location, or the location may be assigned to a vendor. Coffee and Create this week at Legacy Learning

From Tuesday through Friday each week, the Legacy Learning Art Studio offers Coffee and Create from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Located at 713 Seneca St. in Webster City, this event offers a chance to become creative, make new friends and enjoy a good cup of coffee to start the day. The Webster City Chamber of Commerce third Thursday coffee will be held from 8 to 9:30 a.m. today at the school administration office. This is located at 820 Des Moines St.

‘Over the Speed Limit Players’ postpones audition dates

Auditions for “Fiddler on the Roof”, have been postponed to Jan. 25 and Jan. 27. The auditions will be at 6 p.m. at the Webster City Community Theatre Performing Arts Center, located at 1001 Willson Ave. The “Over the Speed Limit Players” is a new theatre group being organized as a branch of the Webster City Community Theatre for those over the age of 55.
