Hamilton County Fair announces fundraiser

The Hamilton County Fair Expo will be holding its annual fundraising dinner on Jan. 31. This will be held in the Hamilton County Show Arena. The price for tickets are $200 for a table of six or $40 a ticket. Drinks included. Doors open at 5 p.m. Call the fair office 515-832-1443.

Tickets on sale for ‘The Prince of Egypt’ at Iowa Central

Iowa Central Community College’s Center for Performing Arts announces that tickets for the stage musical “The Prince of Egypt” are on sale now. The musical will be performed at Decker Auditorium located at 1 Triton Circle in Fort Dodge. Performances are Feb. 25 through March 1. Tickets can be purchased by going to Iowa Central Center for Performing Arts Ticketing at https://www.iowacentral.edu/centerforperformingarts/tickets.asp or call the box office at 515-574-1210. The box office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon.

Wester City Parks & Recreation Commission meets Thursday

The Webster City Parks and Recreation meeting will be held at Fuller Hall on Thursday starting at 5 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Samson Room at Fuller Hall, which is located at 625 Bank St. On the agenda are reports from Fuller Hall and their budget, park projects update, the East Twin Parks concrete and plumbing bid specs and the Fuller Hall recreation programs. The public is invited to attend and may address the commission for five minutes at the opening of the meeting.

Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce hosts retail kick-off event Tuesday

The Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce will host a kick-off breakfast for retailers next Tuesday. The breakfast will be at Fuller Hall in the Samson Room starting at 9 a.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with fellow retailers, meet the local Small Business Development regional director, Kirsten Case Fuller, and enjoy breakfast while learning about funding opportunities and business support programs available. Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Training to be held Saturday

Volunteers who are willing to assist other taxpayers with their annual income taxes can be trained this Saturday at the Hamilton County Extension office. The Extension office is located at 311 Bank St. in Webster City. This training prepares individuals with the skills needed to serve as a volunteer for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. Barb Wollan will lead the training.
