Fair Fundraiser to be held this Saturday

The Hamilton County Fairgrounds Expo will have its annual fundraiser on Saturday. The fairgrounds are located at 1200 Bluff St. The fundraiser will be held in the show arena. This is the sixth year for the annual fundraiser which covers the cost of judges for the Hamilton County Fair. Dinner, a silent and live auction and music by Spencer Suchan are sponsored by the City of Webster City, Neighborhood Realty and the Hamilton County Pork Producers. Congregate Meals served today and Thursday

The congregate meal menu for today will be as follows: Swedish meatballs over egg noodles or mashed potatoes, whole wheat roll, a vegetable and fruit. On Thursday the meal will be tacos with refried beans and fruit. All congregate meals are subject to change, determined by food supply and demand. For reservations for meals, call 515-832-6161. Meals can be picked up and carried home or eaten with the congregate meals group located at 604 Prospect St.

Veterans Affairs coffee and doughnuts today at courthouse

The Hamilton County Veterans Affairs will host a coffee today starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Hamilton County Courthouse in the lower level. The program this month will be about Walkasins. Walkasins is a sensory prosthesis designed for patients with peripheral neuropathy who struggle with gait and balance. All veterans are invited to attend.

River Valley Veterans Network will be hosting a veteran networking event on Feb. 5. This will be held at the Webster City Links Golf Course at 405 Des Moines St. in Webster City from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The River Valley Veterans Network is an organization for those who have served in the military to build on their experiences, community and business engagement. Junquefest 2026 registration begins today

Street vendors for Junquefest 2026 can begin registering for the May 23 event today through the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce. The downtown event includes antiques and collectibles, artisan goods, street food, farm fresh spirits, downtown retail businesses and restaurants and live music. Opening at 10 a.m. on May 23, the event is free and open to the public until 5 p.m.

Gun Show this weekend at Hamilton County Fairgrounds

The Hamilton County Fairgrounds will be the site for a gun show this weekend. The event, sponsored by Midwest Event is located at 1200 Bluff St., in the Ed Prince building and the Show Arena. The cost is $10 per day, or a $14 weekend pass. There is a discount admission for military, vets and first responders with ID.
