Congregate meal menus for week of Feb. 2

This week’s menu for congregate meals is as follows. All menus are subject to change. Those who would like to order meals or to reserve a meal should call 515-832-6161. The entrance to Congregate meals is at 604 Prospect St., the north end of the RSVP building. The congregate meal site is open between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Webster City High School ‘Singing Valentine’ orders due next week

The ‘Singing Valentines’ fundraiser will again be held which helps support the Webster City High School vocal music program. Community members can surprise loved ones on Friday, Feb. 13 by choosing from several singing valentine options. Available options include a phone Valentine, an in-person singing Valentine featuring one song, or the popular in-person bundle, which includes three songs, a card, and a carnation. February SALT meeting to feature conservation program

The February Seniors and Law Enforcement Together (SALT) meeting will be Thursday, Feb. 5. This will begin at 9 a.m. at the Hamilton County Conservation Building, 2490 Briggs Woods Trail, Webster City. Refreshments will be served, and Van Diest Medical Center personnel will provide free blood pressure checks. The meeting will start at 9:30 a.m. with announcements from local law enforcement and officials from area agencies, and upcoming events from around Hamilton County. Fair Fundraiser to be held this Saturday

The Hamilton County Fairgrounds Expo will have its annual fundraiser on Saturday. The fairgrounds are located at 1200 Bluff St. and will be held in the show arena. This is the sixth year for the annual fundraiser which covers the cost of judges for the Hamilton County Fair. Doors open at 5 p.m. The dinner includes pork loin, a loaded potato, green beans, dinner roll and a cookie. Tickets are $40 per person or a table for $200.

Winterfest king and queen to be announced today

The Webster City High School Winterfest Court will learn this afternoon who will be named king and queen for 2026. A special assembly will be held at 2:15 p.m. in the Prem Sahai auditorium for the official coronation. The queen’s court includes Jakaela Cherry, Kate Feltz, Kaylee Kohl, Heidi Mendoza and Addelyn Pruismann. The king’s court includes Jack Barner, Justin Callahan, Bralon Dyvig, Jaxon Griffith and Cole Nohrenberg.

Legacy Learning offers two different activities today

Today, Legacy Learning will offer two different events at their studio at 719 Seneca St. Coffee and Create will begin at 9:30 a.m. in addition to a 6 p.m. craft when they create door decorations for Valentine’s Day. The morning Coffee and Create drop-in is held Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to noon. This drop-in event is free, but a freewill donation is encouraged to cover the cost of coffee and materials. The Valentine’s Day Door Decor workshop will also be held at 719 Seneca St. today.
