Snowshoe Hike this morning at Briggs Woods

The Hamilton County Conservation office will host a snowshoe hike at the Briggs Woods park this morning at 10 a.m. The Conservation office is located at 2490 Briggs Woods Trail. The hike begins at the Conservation Office, where there will be a presentation on snow shoe basics, and then all will hike with snow shoes together on the golf course. The activity will end with a warm bowl of soup at the conservation office. All participants are asked to bring a crock pot of soup to share with others after the hike. Grief support group to meet at Van Diest Medical Center

Restore Us Care Ministry is offering a nondenominational grief support group for individuals navigating loss, including death of a loved one, divorce, job loss, and other significant life transitions. The group is facilitated by the Rev. Sarah Namukose of Asbury United Methodist Church. The sessions are open to anyone, regardless of faith background. The support group meets on the second Tuesday of each month from noon to 1 p.m. in the Hospital Conference Room at Van Diest Medical Center, beginning on Feb. 10. The ‘Singing Valentines’ fundraiser deadline is Friday. Community members can surprise loved ones on Friday, Feb. 13, by choosing from several singing valentine options. Orders need to be made by this Friday, Feb. 6. Available options include a phone valentine, an in-person singing valentine with one song, or in-person bundle.
