Law Enforcement Torch Run today at 1 p.m.

The 2026 Hamilton County Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics will be today at 1 p.m. throughout Webster City. The law enforcement community, family and friends will be running with the Special Olympics Athletes from the Webster City High School. This event is to show their support and admiration of the Special Olympics Athletes. Parks and Recreation Commission meets Thursday

The Parks and Recreation Commission will meet at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday at Fuller Hall. On the agenda are the Fuller Hall budget, updates on the park project, recreation programs, Fuller Hall, outdoor pool and fee schedule. The next meeting will be June 18 at 5:15 p.m.

A full day of music, shopping, and community fun is planned as JunqueFest returns to downtown Webster City from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday during Memorial Day weekend. Jane Young House open Saturday morning

The Webster City Women’s Club invites you to the Jane Young House, 629 Elm St., Webster City on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to view their new clothing exhibit and house. The clothing exhibit highlights fashions from 1947, Happy Birthday America, and a collection of clothing from former and current retail stores in Webster City. Another room is dedicated to the history of the Women’s Club. Lots of history and a beautiful house to view. A freewill donation is appreciated and it is handicapped accessible.

Van Diest Trustees meet today at 6 p.m.

The Board of Trustees for Van Diest Medical Center will meet on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Clinic Board room, 2350 Hospital Drive in Webster City. Agenda items include board education, approval of the tax budget amendment for FY 2026, the FY 27 tax levy petition, pillar reports for hospital management, growth and community service excellence, and quality and continuous improvement in addition to the financial pillar. There will also be an update from medical staff and MercyOne.
