Law Enforcement Torch Run today at 1 p.m.

The 2026 Hamilton County Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics will be today at 1 p.m. throughout Webster City.

The law enforcement community, family and friends will be running with the Special Olympics Athletes from the Webster City High School. This event is to show their support and admiration of the Special Olympics Athletes.

While carrying the flame, law enforcement officers are referred to as “Guardians of the Flame” and will keep the torch lit as it travels from Webster City High School to the Middle School.

The route is as follows: Starting at the High School, they will run down down Lynx Avenue to Grand, then to Mary Lane, then Boone to Prospect to the Middle School.

People wishing to watch and support our runners are encouraged to line the route along Boone Street and Prospect Street.
