The Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce invites community members, business leaders, and real estate partners to join Five 1 Five Realty for a special ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating a new chapter of growth and expanded service in the region. Public hearing on the 2027 hospital budget is Tuesday

In response to the petition protesting the fiscal year 2027 budget of the Hamilton County hospital and in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 24 of the Iowa code, the State Appeal board hereby gives notice of a public hearing at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The meeting will be held in the basement conference room at the Hamilton County Courthouse, located at 2300 Superior St. in Webster City.

700 block of Second Street closed Monday

The 700 block of Second Street will be closed to traffic while a contractor performs repairs to a water service line. The 700 block is between Prospect and Des Moines Streets.

American Legion Flag Day disposal service this Friday

In observance of Flag Day, the American Legion Post 191 will conduct a ceremonial retirement of unserviceable U.S. flags at 4 p.m. on Friday. This dignified event will take place in the north alley of the 700 block of Second Street, adjacent to Pagel Glass. Community members are encouraged to deliver any flags they wish to include in the ceremony to the American Legion at 726 Second St., Webster City, prior to Thursday. The Legion is open Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Alternatively, flags may be brought directly to the ceremony site at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

Lehigh Methodist Church has Second Sunday Supper this week

The Lehigh Methodist Church will hold its June Second Sunday Supper on Sunday evening, June 14, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the church basement. This month’s menu is pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw, dessert and a drink. The cost is a freewill donation
