Scores were 4-3 in favor of the Cadets with the Lynx securing an 18-8 victory in the nightcap. Racing returns to historic Hamilton CS

Racing returns to the historic Hamilton County Speedway this weekend, as the Flaw’s Brothers Memorial Race featuring Real Racing Wheels Northern Lights Modified Series invades the track. This marks race No. 3 for half-mile semi-banked dirt oval and the series this season. The Webster City baseball team picked up a 7-5 victory over Newell-Fonda here last Friday night. Braylon Dyvig drove in three runs with a pair of doubles, Carter Mickelson had two RBI and earned the win on the mound in relief, and Matthew Tesdahl added an RBI at the plate with three runs scored. City turns to bonds to finance Fair Meadow Drive Project

The City Council of Webster City voted unanimously Monday to finance Phase 2 of the Fair Meadow Drive rehabilitation and buy a street sweeper and snowplow with a new bond issue. At a cost of $1.94 million, the Fair Meadow Drive project, which will see the busy thoroughfare on the city’s south side completely rebuilt this summer, is the most expensive item in the plan.
