HC Speedway schedule released

As we head into 2026, the official race schedule for Karl Chevorlet Hamilton County Speedway has been released. The action hits the semi-banked dirt oval track on April 4 with the Icebreaker and season opening event. Modifieds, Stock Cars, B-Mods, Hobby Stocks and Crown Vics are all set for action. Less than two weeks later will be the opening night of the Iron Man on April 17 with Stock Cars, B-Mods, Hobby Stocks and Crown Vics competing for cash prizes. STORY CITY — The South Hamilton wrestling team competed here this past Saturday at the Jim Kinyon Norsemen Invitational hosted by Roland-Story. Sergeant Bluff-Luton took home team honors ahead of Williamsburg and Atlantic, as the Hawks finished 20th overall in the 22-team field. Mason Ostrem was the lone South Hamilton wrestler to earn a spot on the podium, placing sixth at 113 pounds. FORT DODGE — The Webster City wrestling team competed at the 51st annual Don Miller Invitational on Saturday. The Lynx placed ninth and scored 56.5 points. Jaysen Vankham (4-5) had the highest finish for Webster City, placing third at 138. Vankham reached the semifinals with a pin. Vankham lost to Will Larson of Decorah in the semis.
