A Celebration Mass for Michele Rae Barrick, of Denver, Colorado, who passed away from breast cancer, diabetes, and a debilitating leg injury, will be on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 11:00 a.m.

Michele Rae Barrick, daughter of Ray and Marietta (Strodtman) Barrick, was born June 5, 1956, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Dodge, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Marietta, and brother Michael Amos. She is survived by her brothers, Murray Ray and Sarah Barrick of Austin, TX; Michael John Barrick of Houston, TX; and Mark Barrick and Tina Barrick of Machensey, Il.; three nieces and a nephew and many extended family members.

She graduated from Clarion High School. She continued her education at Iowa Central Community College in Webster City, University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Recreation, and finished her Education BA degree at St. Thomas University in Houston, TX.

Michele became a long-time resident of Denver. She worked in Lake Tahoe Area, with the City of Denver recreation, Houston Independent School District, Denver Public Schools, and finally with Aurora Public Schools.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Michele’s memory to Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
