EARL A. REINHARDT

Earl A. Reinhardt, 81, of Webster City, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 22nd, surrounded by family. Earl is survived by his beloved wife, Jan; son, Brian Reinhardt; daughter-in-law, Nicholette; grandchildren, Brandon, Bennett, Sydney, Carson, and grand-dog Oliver; brothers, Dean (Colleen) and Eldon (Jackie) Reinhardt, and sister-in-law, Cheryl. He is survived also by many other relatives, church family, and good friends. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ethel Reinhardt; son, Chris Reinhardt and brother, Frank Reinhardt.

Earl was born on December 9, 1939, in Webster City, where he would spend the rest of his life. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Webster City in the Class of 1958 and shared fond memories with former classmates at reunions over the years. Earl was married to the love of his life Janice (nee Garnjobst) on August 22, 1965, and they lived, traveled, and laughed together for more than 55 years. He worked at Naden Industries in Webster City for 42 years. He made many friends at Naden’s and enjoyed bowling on a team with his co-workers. His work took him across many cities and states, where he assembled, installed, and repaired electronic scoreboards at athletic fields.

He was an avid traveler and enjoyed driving, for which he had an extremely strong sense of direction. He and Jan made frequent visits to their grandchildren in Wisconsin and Arizona. He was a proud fan of Iowa State University Athletics, often attending football and basketball games. With Jan, he was a season-ticket holder for Cyclone’s basketball in Ames. He and Jan made several trips to Branson, Missouri, where they enjoyed sights, shows, and time with each other. Earl will be remembered as a kind, caring, and loving man. He was the best husband, father, grandpa, friend and loved his entire church family.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Webster City, to be followed by a luncheon in the church social hall and burial at Graceland Cemetery, Webster City.
