A two vehicle accident occurred on Sept. 3 on East Second Street. Debra J. West, Webster City, was stopped at the light facing west on East Second Street. Jorge Alejo-Cacari, Webster City, did not slow down in time and the front of his vehicle collided with the rear of West's vehicle. West pulled into the Grid Iron parking lot and confronted Alejo-Cacari. Alejo-Cacari drove away from the scene. A warrant was served to arrest Kevin J. Acosta, Webster City, on Aug. 15.Angela D. Beem, Webster City, was arrested on Aug. 15 for 5th degree theft and fraudulent use of a credit card.Christopher L. Long, Webster City, was arrested on Aug. 14 for assault and indecent exposure.

A two vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of First Street and Superior Street on Aug. 21. Roy D. Peterson, Duncombe, was pulling out of the Casey's General Store to head south onto Superior Street before turning west onto First Street. Phyllis J. Bisbee, West Des Moines, was heading south on Superior Street. Peterson failed to see Bisbee and turned into her lane. The left front of Bisbee's vehicle collided with the passenger side of Peterson's vehicle, causing the bumper to be torn off. There were no injuries. Peterson's vehicle sustained an estimated $500 in minor damage. ...

On Aug. 16, the Webster City Police Department was notified of an accident at Fair Meadow Drive and Superior Street. Upon arrival, Officer Joel Delaney spoke with Riley D. Beightol Heiden, Webster City, who reportedly told Officer Delaney he was wearing big boots, and when he went to step on the brake, he hit both the brake and gas pedal at the same time. Beightol Heiden reportedly told Officer Delaney it was his fault and he couldn't stop his vehicle from hitting the vehicle in front of him. On Aug. 9, an accident occurred at the intersection of First Street and Broadway Street. Sierra A. Anderson, Webster City, was traveling west on First Street, at the same time William D. Espinoza, Webster City, was traveling south on Broadway Street. As Anderson was slowing down to stop for the stop sign at the intersection of First Street and Broadway Street, the front passenger side tire blew out, causing the vehicle to pull to the right and into the intersection. The Webster City Police Department received a call on Aug. 4 regarding a two vehicle accident. Marvin A. Leffingwell, Fort Dodge, was traveling east bound when a deer ran out in front of his vehicle. Leffingwell hit his brakes and stopped in the roadway to avoid hitting the deer. Evan M. Wolfgram, Webster City, reportedly stated he was coming over the hill when he saw Leffingwell's taillights in front of his vehicle. Wolfgram was unable to get stopped and rear ended Leffingwell.
