Here comes Peter Cottontail

The Easter Bunny hopped into Webster City Tuesday morning to get ready for the big Community Easter Egg Hunt and Color Run on Saturday, April 12, at Wilson Brewer Park, 202 Ohio St. Phil Voge, Julie Maass and Kent Bailey from the Van Diest Medical Center Foundation were excited to welcome Mr. Bunny as he prepared for the fun-filled morning of egg hunts, a color run, face painting, and more, sponsored by the VDMC Foundation, Wilson Brewer Park Foundation and Trinity Lutheran Church.

The egg hunt will begin promptly at 10 a.m. with separate hunts for children aged 0-3 years, 4-7 years, and 8-12 years old. There will also be a sensory friendly and adaptive hunt available for kids and young adults with disabilities. Prizes will be awarded in each age division. The color run will begin at 10:30 a.m. from the park and there is no preregistration required. In addition, there will be face painting, balloon bunny ears, egg coloring, cookie frosting and, of course, pictures with the Easter Bunny.

The egg hunt, which has been held on the hospital grounds in recent years, was moved to Wilson Brewer Park this year. The partnership with the three sponsors will allow for an even bigger event.

Hop on down the bunny trail and join in a morning of family fun starting at 10 a.m. Saturday.
