The Gala returns
With Dirty Champagne and all the festivites one can expect from the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce
Dirty Champagne helped ring in 2024 at the Briggs Woods Conference Center. The band returns Tuesday to ring in 2025.
Yes, the countdown has (essentially) begun, but there’s still time to score a place at the 80s-themed New Year’s Eve Gala at the Briggs Woods Conference Center.
On Sunday, there were still four tables’ worth of tickets left to sell, according to Robin Streigle, of the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce, which organizes the event.
That translates to about 30 tickets, she said.
“Tickets can be bought individually, at a discount for two or a discount for a table of 8,” Streigle said.
Single tickets are $89; tickets for a couple are $170; and a table sells for $680. To purchase tickets, go online to visitwebstercityiowa.com.
The doors open Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m.
The gala is sponsored in part by American Sanitation (presenting sponsor), the City of Webster City, Peoples Credit Union, Webster City Custom Meats, Karl Webster City, and Neighborhood Realty.
Back this year is Dirty Champagne, the band that rocked while partygoers ushered in 2024. With its rock ‘n’ roll and country classics, Dirty Champagne will help usher in 2025 too.
One of the raffle prizes this year is a Wolf Brand Islander Scooter from Eekhoff Motors. You can buy tickets at the Chamber office — 628 Second Street, Webster City — until the event. When the scooters arrive in the spring, you’ll get to choose your favorite color. Each ticket is $25 or you can buy five for $100.
The New Year’s Gala is the Chamber’s biggest fundraising event of the year.
And what a year it has been.
“In 2024, we celebrated a record-breaking number of ribbon cuttings — not just for new businesses but also for expansions in social services, arts and cultural amenities, and upgrades to our parks and recreation system,” the Chamber said in a media release.
“More than half of the new businesses were proudly women or minority owned, with 20% marking relocations and expansions to our area. We also welcomed a Giant Doodlebug to honor our local industry’s rich history.”
Here’s to 2025!
