Hamilton High’s feline oriented Supply Drive ends on Friday
For some time now, students within Hamilton High Alternative School have put together a supply drive for local feline groups such as The Cat Hut and the Hamilton County Animal AdvoCATes. As their deadline of Friday quickly approaches, there’s no time like the present to help a furry friend in need.
The students are asking for several items in their drive, running from adult dry cat food and dry kitten food to canned kitten food and paper towels to disposable gloves, recycled newspaper pellet cat litter/non clumping clay cat litter and laundry or dish soap.
There are dropoff locations for these items, which include The Cat Hut (1118 Second St., Webster City), Salon Calypso (707 Seneca St., Webster City), Webster City High School (1001 Lynx Ave., Webster City), The Trash Man (1812 Second St, Webster City) and Hamilton High Alternative School (the old Lawn Hill Building, 825 Beach St., Webster City).
This cause is to improve the lives of cats that are awaiting foster care or adoption, as well as facilitate their other services such as trap/neuter/return to reduce strays in Hamilton County.
The Bee Inspired Program partners with the school to offer TOP (Teen Outreach Program), where students learn responsibility, leadership, compassion, and life skills when participating in community service-learning (CSL) projects.
