WCCT now has tickets on sale for Disney’s ‘Little Mermaid Jr.’

There’s something making waves at Webster City Community Theatre this summer — and it involves mermaids, sea creatures, sailors and one unforgettable underwater adventure.
Tickets are now on sale for its upcoming production of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid Jr.”, opening June 18 at the WCCT Performing Arts Center located at 1001 Willson Ave.
The production is directed by Lindsay Henderson, assisted by Nichole Ose. Meg Cain serves as music director and Karina Murray is the administrative assistant. More than 40 area children comprise the cast.
Filled with favorite songs, colorful characters and plenty of under-the-sea fun, Disney’s “The Little Mermaid Jr.” promises to be a splashy summer adventure for audiences of all ages.
The show is slightly different, as in the senior productions, there are age limits and a shorter version of the show.
“Everyone in the show has to be 18 years of age or younger,” said Loween Getter, “The show is also abbreviated, with stage time under an hour and a half.”
Performances will be presented June 19, 20, 26 and 27 at 7 p.m. and June 20, 21, 27 and 28 at 2 p.m. at WCCT, 1001 Willson Ave. There is both a matinee and an evening show on Saturday. There is no show on Thursday nights so cast members and audience and can Market Nights in downtown Webster City.
