Pack the Paddy Wagon
Event to help stock food pantries, raise funds for Special Olympics
Area residents will be asked to help “Pack the Paddy Wagon” on Sunday, Oct. 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Webster City Hy-Vee. The annual event is hosted by the Hamilton County Peace Officers Association and Hy-Vee and will be held at the Webster City Hy-Vee.
Donations of food and nonperishable items are sought to fill the vintage Paddy Wagon owned by retired Sheriff Denny Hagenson. Area residents are invited to food items such as boxed dinners, pastas, canned foods and home goods such as paper products. Cash donations will also be accepted, according to organizers.
All donations will go to the local food pantries.
Additionally, there will be a cookout which will benefit Special Olympics. The cookout will be a free will donation with proceeds going to the Special Olympics program.
