Hamilton County Fair opens today

The Hamilton County Fair officially begins today and will feature the parade through downtown Webster City.

The parade begins at 6 p.m. featuring the theme, “Bovines, Equines and Little Buckaroos.”

Following the parade, the Farmer Challenge will take place in the show arena.

The fairgrounds was busy with activity Monday as volunteers made final preparations for the week-long expo. Judging for 4-H static exhibits took place Monday morning.

8 a.m. Dog Obedience Show – Show Arena

9 a.m.-8 p.m. May Stall Horses – Check in 7-8 p.m. only

12:30 -3 p.m. Check in Poultry and Rabbits

1 p.m. Pet Show – Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Tent

OPEN CLASS

8 a.m. – 2 p.m. Check in Textiles and Hobby Craft

9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Check in for Fine Arts and Photography, Floral Hall

4-5 p.m. Check in for wine contest

5 p.m. Wine Contest – Floral Building

7 p.m. Wine & Cheese Reception
