Enhance Hamilton County Foundation issues a food pantry challenge for September

The Enhance Hamilton County Foundation is issuing a “Stock Up For Fall” challenge to Hamilton County residents throughout the month of September. Funds received on or before September 30, 2017, will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to the first $4,000 raised by the Enhance Hamilton County Foundation.

To participate in the Food Pantry Challenge, send your donations or drop off your contributions to: Darcy Swon, Enhance Hamilton County Foundation, 501 Bank St., Suite 1, Webster City, IA 50595. Checks should be made out to Enhance Hamilton County Foundation with the name of the food pantry to be supported listed in the memo line. If no food pantry is indicated, it will be assigned to one.

Hamilton County has six food pantries providing assistance to those in need: Upper Des Moines Opportunity (Webster City); Trinity Lutheran Church Food Pantry (Webster City); St. Paul Lutheran Church Food Pantry (Webster City); Asbury/ACE Food Pantry (Webster City); The Lord’s Cupboard/Bethesda Lutheran Church (Jewell); and the Stratford Food Pantry (Stratford).

The Enhance Hamilton County Foundation was formed in 2005 as an affiliate of the Greater Des Moines Foundation and connects people to causes that matter, is the hub for charitable giving, and helps people give back. The Foundation is a philanthropic organization that leverages charitable resources and expertise to address community needs.
