A Webster City man has been arrested on a warrant for theft charges, following a yearlong investigation by local law enforcement agencies.

Loren Dale Anderson, 50, was arrested on Wednesday for theft in the second degree/possession of stolen property. Officials said the arrest culminates an investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Webster City Police Department, Fort Dodge Police Department and the Division of Criminal Investigation.

Officials said after taking numerous complaints of fraudulent use of credit card information, law enforcement officers discovered that Anderson had reportedly received 270 stolen items purchased with the stolen credit card information.

Theft in the second degree/possession of stolen property is a class “D” felony.
