JEWELL – First State Bank opened its new location in Jewell on Monday. The 717 Main Street location is temporary until a new bank is built at the site of the former Jewell vet clinic.

Staci Olthoff, formerly with Stanhope First State Bank, is the new manager at the Jewell bank. She said that groundbreaking for the new bank building, to be built at the site of the former Jewell Vet Clinic, will be later this spring. Plans are that the new bank will be completed in early 2018.

Other employees at First State in Jewell are Dale Sigmund and Michelle Oskvig. Hours at the new bank are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
