Freedom Rock project advances

Deadline to purchase tribute plaques is March 17

STRATFORD –The Hamilton County Freedom Rock® Park is fast becoming a reality, according to committee members.

The rock has been placed on its cradle and waiting to be painted by the Freedom Rock® Tour artist Ray Sorenson. This spring the electrical for lighting, the sidewalks, the flag, and the Tribute Plaque Wall will be installed. Plus if enough donations and grants are received, the Wall of Valor will also be built.

Because the Tribute Plaque Wall is being installed, the committee will be ordering all of the Tribute Plaques that will have been purchased by March 17. That is the deadline for the first Tribute Plaque order. Any Tribute Plaque orders received after that will need to wait for placement of the second order and at this time the Committee officials say they don’t know when the second order may be placed.

Cost for a plaque is $100 each.
