Contract on council agenda

Webster City Mayor John Hawkins will read a proclamation honoring and supporting law enforcement at the city council meeting tonight at 5:30 p.m.

A resolution to establish a nuisance at 412 East Dubuque St. and ordering the abatement thereof with in 30 days is on the agenda for possible approval. A resolution to establish a nuisance at 1005 Division St. and ordering the abatement thereof with in 30 days is on the agenda for possible approval.

The council will consider a request from Jim Fortune and Lynn Hough to purchase city owned property on Commerce Drive.

A resolution to set August 15 at 5:50 p.m. for a public hearing on the proposed sale of city owned property located in Brewer Creek Estates, Third Edition at 2404 Kamen Drive, is on the agenda for possible council approval.

The council will consider a motion on request from the street department to seek bids on a new pickup truck chassis and utility box.

A resolution awarding the contract for the 2016 Crack Seal Project to Scodeller Construction, Inc., St. Joseph, MN, in the amount of $89,600 is on the agenda for possible council approval.

A resolution approving Change Order No. 3, an increase in contract amount of $3,520 to the East Second Improvement Project with Wicks Construction, Inc., Decorah, is on the agenda for possible council approval.

A resolution placing the imposition of a Hotel and Motel Tax on the election ballot for the City of Webster City is on the agenda for possible approval.

The approval for the issuance of beer and liquor licenses for two downtown businesses are on the agenda. The renewal of a Class C Liquor License for outdoor service and Sunday sales at TK’s Tavern and the renewal of a Class C Beer Permit, Class B Wine Permit, and Sunday sales at Shopko Hometown.
