Downtown to be ‘Crazy’ Saturday

Downtown Webster City will be filled with vendors for a street fair on Saturday.

The Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Crazy Day Street Fair on Second Street from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Second Street will be closed from Webster City True Value west to the Daily Freeman Journal parking lot.

“We’re excited to have lots of little pop ups in the middle of the street this year. Our chamber members will bring out some amazing Crazy Day specials right onto the sidewalks with many more in the stores. The Farmers Market is coming to join the fun as well.” said Deb Brown the Chamber Director.

The Farmers Market vendors are asked to set up in the 600 block of Des Moines Street directly east of Erickson Park. The street will be blocked off to traffic.

New businesses 2nd Street Fitness, JB’s Antiques and Variety Place and The Big Picture will be sneak peeking their new businesses. Brown said both breakfast and lunch will be available downtown from local vendors as well as treats.

“Take a break under the cooling tent and sit a minute and enjoy watching the people too. WC2DC and the Boy Scouts will have booths set up so you can support the youth,” said Brown.

“Some of the new pop ups include Lula Roe Clothing, Beulah Bells Vintage and Art, Nisa Pieces fun clothes in a trailer, Penn Station Antiques, Pink Zebra, and Tupperware. The dancers will be showcased and you’ll want to come and watch them perform their world class acts. Webster City Auto and Good Life RV will have some amazing vehicles you won’t want to miss,” said Brown.
