Hamilton County Youths compete at 4-H State Shooting Competition

Hamilton County 4-H youths demonstrated outstanding skill and sportsmanship at the 2025 Iowa 4-H Safety and Education in Shooting Sports State Shooting Competition, held August 23 at Brownell’s Big Springs Shooting Complex in Searsboro. The event brought together over 130 youth from 22 counties across Iowa to compete in six shooting disciplines. Airport Fly-in Breakfast on Sunday

The Sons of the American Legion pancake breakfast will be held on Sunday morning from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. This will be at the Webster City Municipal airport. During the morning, there will also be an airport fly-in and a classic car show held in conjunction with the breakfast. All are invited and encouraged to attend.

Coffee and Create to begin Monday

The Legacy Learning Art Studio will begin a new program next Monday called Coffee & Create. This is a drop-in coffee and craft program which will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon, Monday through Thursday. All are invited to attend for art, crafts, community and conversation. Drop in for coffee, creative energy and time to connect with others. No experience needed; freewill donations will be accepted.
