Lehigh Second Sunday Supper will be on September 14

LEHIGH — The Lehigh Methodist Church will hold its Second Sunday Supper on Sunday evening, September 14. This event is from 5 to 7 p.m. On the menu this month is chicken and noodles on mashed potatoes, with a dessert, drink and more. Carryouts are available. The cost is a freewill donation.

Kendall Young Library celebrates Library Card Month

Kendall Young Library will celebrate library card month. In the adult and teen departments, each new card or renewal will receive a KYL reward throughout the month. In the children’s department, each juvenile patron will receive a book with a new card or renewal. Octoberfest in September open to public

The Octoberfest party on Sept. 27, which follows the Tour De Webster, which will be held at the Seneca Street Saloon, is an open event for the public. Those who are participating in the bike race/scenic ride, have a $45 registration fee. There is not an additional fee for those who are not in the Tour De Webster event.

Jam session set for Friday night at Opera House

BLAIRSBURG — The Blairsburg Opera House Jam session will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday. The Opera House is located on Second Street in downtown Blairsburg. Musicians, dancers and listeners are invited to attend and participate in this monthly event, which is free to everyone.

RSVP seeking Penpals for students

The Retired Senior Volunteer program is seeking volunteers for their pen pal program, which services Hamilton and Webster counties. This program invites volunteers to sign up to become a penpal with a student. This helps students learn the process of letter writing and communicating with a person they have not met. Volunteers of any age can participate as letters can be written from anywhere and in their own time. RSVP staff coordinates pen pals and volunteers.
