Blood Drive this Thursday

The Webster City Community Blood Drive is scheduled for from 12:30-5:30 p.m. Thursday. This will be held at the VanDiest Medical Center Clinic Board Room, 2350 Hospital Drive. Appointments are encouraged, and can be made by calling 800-287-4903. Walk-ins are also welcome. Those who donate blood on this day will receive a Scooters cookie and 20% off a Hospital Gift Shop purchase.

WCHS Christmas carolers to spread holiday cheer Thursday

Webster City High School musicians will be caroling through Webster City next week as a special roving community service. The Webster City High School Band and Choirs will be spreading holiday cheer throughout the community on from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 11. Students will visit local businesses to perform festive carols and share the spirit of the season. Any business can make a request for a visit at a specific time. Christmas In the City events begin at 8 a.m. Saturday

Coaching Clinic on Sunday

A high school coaching clinic for baseball and softball youth will be held on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. This will be held at Diamond in the Rough, located at 203 Commerce Drive in Webster City. Coach Jim Hallman from Grand View College will be on site for the clinic. No registration required, but a freewill donation will raise money for the Blank Children’s Hospital.

‘Blue Christmas’ service is Sunday night

The community is invited to a “Blue Christmas” service to be held Sunday. This will begin at 6 p.m. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 1000 Willson Avenue in Webster City. Leaders of the Webster City Ministerial Association, in collaboration with Boman Funeral Home and Foster Funeral and Cremation Center, will lead a service of remembrance for loved ones lost by death or separation. Women’s Club to meet Monday

The next monthly meeting of the Webster City Women’s Club will be Monday, at 1:30 p.m. at the Jane Young House. The Jane Young House is located at 629 Elm Street. On the agenda is the installation of 2026 officers, Memorial Service, grab bag gift exchange, Christmas sing-along and other holiday activities. The greeter will be JoAnn Robb.
