CPR training to be held at Williams Library

The Williams Library is offering a safety class led by Sara Zorn for families who do not need certification. This will be a free CPR training class held at the library. Those interested need to contact Library Director Gabby Streigle at 515-667-2167. Details will be announced with time and date to be determined.

Women’s Club to meet Monday at Jane Young House

The next meeting of the Webster City Women’s Club will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Jane Young House, 629 Elm St. in Webster City. Sharon Cline will give a presentation entitled “Ancestry DNA — Sorting Out Your Cousins.” The greeter will be Ester Lehman. Refreshments will be served by Sharon Cline, Carol Zills, Joyce Harms and An’Nyce Hoff. Membership in the Webster City Women’s Club is open to any women from Hamilton County. Ribbon cutting postponed for Reisner Substation

Due to forecasted weather conditions, the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Reisner Substation has been postponed. The safety and comfort of our guests, community members, and project partners remain our top priorities. A new date for the ribbon cutting has not yet been set. Celebration of life and fundraising for Rhonda Vaughn Farwell is March 28

A fundraising event, celebrating the life of Rhonda (Vaughn) Farwell, will be held on March 28 from 1 to 7 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City. The church is located at 1229 Kathy Lane. Farwell has been battling cancer for two years, and has been advised she has only a few short months to live. This event will include a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, permanent jewelry sales and food and refreshments. Funds raised will assist the family, and Farwell will be there to share stories and laughter. For more information, contact Bill Vaughn at 641-229-1699.

Legacy Learning hosts workshop on sourdough bread

On March 12, Rachel Stuber of Back 40 Co., will teach a hands-on class on sourdough baking. The workshop begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Legacy Learning studio, located at 719 Seneca St. in Webster City. This is a repeat class from the January session, but they are offering it again, as it filled so quickly. The cost is $20. To register call 515-835-1264.
