The Williams Library is offering a safety class led by Sara Zorn for families who do not need certification. This will be a free CPR training class held at the library. The next meeting of the Webster City Women’s Club will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Jane Young House, 629 Elm St. in Webster City. Sharon Cline will give a presentation entitled “Ancestry DNA — Sorting Out Your Cousins.” The greeter will be Ester Lehman. Refreshments will be served by Sharon Cline, Carol Zills, Joyce Harms and An’Nyce Hoff. Membership in the Webster City Women’s Club is open to any women from Hamilton County. Due to forecasted weather conditions, the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Reisner Substation has been postponed. A fundraising event, celebrating the life of Rhonda (Vaughn) Farwell, will be held on March 28 from 1 to 7 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City. The church is located at 1229 Kathy Lane. Farwell has been battling cancer for two years, and has been advised she has only a few short months to live. This event will include a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, permanent jewelry sales and food and refreshments. On March 12, Rachel Stuber of Back 40 Co., will teach a hands-on class on sourdough baking. The workshop begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Legacy Learning studio, located at 719 Seneca St. in Webster City.
