Legislative forum rescheduled for this Saturday

The Legislative session with state Sen. Shannon Latham, R-Sheffield, and state Sen. Dennis Guth, R-Klemme, has been rescheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday. It will be held at the Iowa Central Community College Campus, 1725 Beach St., in Webster City. The legislative session is co-sponsored by the Greater Hamilton County Growth Partnership and the Iowa Central Community College. All are invited to attend.

Fundraiser/breakfast at Briggs Woods

Hamilton County Conservation will be offering a Maple Syrup Making & Fundraiser Breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. on March 14 at the Briggs Woods Golf Course. The cost is $15 per person, but registration is required. This is a pancake fundraiser breakfast. View maple tree tapping and syrup cooking. Funds raised are to purchase new snowshoes & storage. Women’s Club to meet Monday

The Webster City Women’s Club will be held next Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Jane Young House, 629 Elm St. in Webster City. Sharon Cline will give a presentation entitled “Ancestry DNA — Sorting Out Your Cousins.” The greeter will be Ester Lehman. Refreshments will be served by Sharon Cline, Carol Zills, Joyce Harms and An’Nyce Hoff. Membership in the Webster City Women’s Club is open to any women from Hamilton County. Choral Society concert Sunday

The Fort Dodge Choral Society spring concert will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the Decker Auditorium at 1 Triton Circle in Fort Dodge. This concert will take a journey through the music of our history to celebrate the 250th anniversary of American independence. The Jive for Five brass quintet and string ensemble will join with the singers for this concert. The Webster City Community Schools will be on spring break starting today. Spring break will officially run today through March 13. School will resume on March 16.
