Legion to serve spaghetti dinner to help fund Scouts summer camp
The American Legion, 726 Second St., will serve lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday Saturday to help raise money to send the local Scouts to camp. The meal will consist of spaghetti, garlic bread and homemade desserts for a freewill donation. Van Diest Medical Center to host information session ahead of public hearing
The Van Diest Medical Center will hold an informational session for community members prior to Tuesday’s public hearing regarding the hospital’s proposed fiscal year 2027 tax levy. The session will take place in the clinic boardroom from 5:15 to 5:45 p.m. The public hearing will follow, beginning at 6 p.m.
Iowa Community Theatre Association convention to be held in Webster City March 27
The Webster City Community Theatre will be host to the Iowa Community Theatre Association on March 27 and 28. The opening of “Fiddler on the Roof,” produced by the Over the Speed Limit players will be on March 27 and is open to the public. Workshops will be held on March 28, and a final banquet will be held that evening, which includes awards presented to community theaters across the state for excellence.
