Jam session set for Friday night
BLAIRSBURG —The Blairsburg Opera House Jam session will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday at the opera house. Musicians, dancers and listeners are invited to attend.
Hamilton County Pheasants Forever annual banquet is March 30
The annual banquet for the Hamilton County Pheasants Forever will be held on March 30. This will be at the Briggs Woods Conference Center, located at 2501 Briggs Woods Trail. Funds from the banquet and other fundraising is used to purchase land for conservation. Most of this property is then given to the Hamilton County Conservation Office to make it public land. Celebration of life and fundraising for Rhonda Vaughn Farwell benefit is March 28
A fundraising event, celebrating the life of Rhonda (Vaughn) Farwell, will be held on from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City. The church is located at 1229 Kathy Lane. Farwell has been battling cancer for two years, and has been advised she has only a few short months to live. This event will include a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, permanent jewelry sales and food and refreshments. The Cat Hut and Hamilton County Animal AdvoCATes to participate in overnight advocacy event
On April 18, the Hamilton County Animal AdvoCATes and The Cat Hut will join animal shelters across the country in the Shelter Slumber Pawty, an advocacy and fundraising event in which participants stay overnight inside animal shelters to raise awareness and funds for homeless pets. The Shelter Slumber Pawty will take place from 12 p.m. April 18 through 12 p.m. April 19 at The Cat Hut. The Cat Hut will have extended hours on April 18. Lenten Luncheon is this Friday
Women’s Lenten Luncheon, hosted by the Women’s Fellowship groups from First Congregational UCC, Asbury United Methodist, Trinity Lutheran, St. Paul’s Lutheran and the Church of Christ, will be held on Friday at the Briggs Woods Conference Center from noon to 1 p.m. The program this year will be presented by the Rev. Sarah Namukose from Asbury United Methodist Church.
