Alden Methodist hosting drive-thru meal Sunday

ALDEN — The Alden Methodist Church will be hosting a special drive-thru meal on Sunday, April 26, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The church is located at 1512 Hardin St. in Alden. The meal consists of ham balls, cheesy potatoes, green beans, a roll and cookies. A free will donation is the cost of the meal.

WCCT Readers Theatre is Sunday

Webster City Community Theatre invites you to a reading of “Birthday Club” at 3 p.m. Sunday. The reading will be held at the WCCT Performing Arts Cewnter at 1001 Willson Ave. “Birthday Club” was written by Phil Olson, who also wrote the “Don’t Hug Me” series. Five women get together for their birthdays, each with her own story. Conservation Creation announces project through Humanities Iowa to start in May

Conservation Creation is kicking off a new project with a focus on community based arts and humanities to connect residents with nature and each other. The first in the series is called Prairie Roots. This will involve stories from Hamilton County and connect residents with the natural landscape through shared experiences, storytelling, and creative expression.
