Jane Young House Museum is open Saturday

The Jane Young House Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday for those who want to view the new exhibit. The Jane Young House is located at 629 Elm St. in Webster City. The new exhibit highlights fashions from 1947. A beautiful house, full of history contributes to the experience visiting the historic home. A free will donation is the only cost. A ramp is available on the east side of the building for those needing handicap access.

Mobile Food Pantry to be at St. Thomas Parish Tuesday

The Food Bank of Iowa will be bringing the Mobile Food Pantry to the St. Thomas Parish Center Tuesday. The St. Thomas Parish Center is located at 1000 Des Moines St. Registration at this location begins at 2:30 p.m. The food bank will be open from 2:45 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. or until the food is gone. Nominees for Daisy Award sought for VDMC nurses

Van Diest Medical Center is now accepting nominations for the 2026 DAISY Award for extraordinary nurses. At VDMC, extraordinary nursing is often found in the quiet, meaningful moments, when a nurse takes extra time with both clinical expertise and genuine compassion. “These small acts of care don’t feel small to the people who receive them,” said Lisa Ridge, RN, MSN, CEO of Van Diest Medical Center. Alden Methodist hosting drive-thru meal Sunday

ALDEN — The Alden Methodist Church will be hosting a special drive-thru meal on Sunday, April 26, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The church is located at 1512 Hardin St. in Alden. The meal consists of ham balls, cheesy potatoes, green beans, a roll and cookies. A free will donation is the cost of the meal.

WCCT Readers Theatre is Sunday

Webster City Community Theatre invites you to a reading of “Birthday Club” at 3 p.m. Sunday. The reading will be held at the WCCT Performing Arts Cewnter at 1001 Willson Ave. “Birthday Club” was written by Phil Olson, who also wrote the “Don’t Hug Me” series. Five women get together for their birthdays, each with her own story.
