Lehigh Methodist Church annual spring supper and bake sale to be Saturday

The Lehigh Methodist Church’s annual Spring Supper and Bake Sale will be held in the church basement from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the church, 386 Spencer Hill St. in Lehigh. The meal served will be Swiss steak, with mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables, salads, fresh baked rolls, pie and a drink. The cost is $15 for adults, $8 for ages 10 and under, and free for children ages 5 and under. Many baked goods will be available for purchase also during the event. Carryouts are also available.

Webster City airport commission meets Tuesday

The Webster City Airport Commission meets at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the City Hall in Webster City, 400 Second St. The meeting will be in the council chambers. On the agenda are reports on fuel, the hanger and the engineer. There will also be a report on the airport layout plan which includes approving fees, authorizing an agreement with McClure Engineering, and to approve the submission of a grant.

Jam session tonight at Blairsburg Opera House

BLAIRSBURG —The Blairsburg Opera House Jam session will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. This free event will be held at the Opera House, located on Second Street in downtown Blairsburg. Musicians, dancers and listeners are invited.

Van Diest Medical Center trustees meet Tuesday

The Van Diest Medical Center Board of Trustees will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the clinic board room at the hospital, 2350 Hospital Drive in Webster City. On the agenda is the FY 26 Tax budget amendment, the audit engagement agreement, hospital management and strategic pillar reports, updates from Lisa Ridge, announcements and community events.

WCCT Readers Theatre is Sunday

The Webster City Community Theatre will be reading “Birthday Club” at 3 p.m. Sunday. The reading will be held at the WCCT Performing Arts Center at 1001 Willson Ave. “Birthday Club” was written by Phil Olson, who also wrote the “Don’t Hug Me” series. The story is about the five women who get together for their birthdays, each with her own story. Mary Sealine will lead the reading. Bring a snack to share and your choice of beverage.
