KYL will hold program on drug emergencies next week

The Kendall Young Library will be hosting a training session on opioid overdoses and naloxone on May 5. The training is being held in conjunction with Community and Family Resources starting at noon in the downstairs meeting room. The library is located at 1201 Willson Ave. in Webster City. This training will help participants to recognize and respond to opioid emergencies with lifesaving tools. Narcan will be available to attendees at the end of the event. This event is free and does not require registration.

Job Fair to be held May 14 at Kendall Young Library

Iowa Works will be hosting a job fair at the Kendall Young Library on May 14. This will run from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. The library is located at 1201 Willson Ave., and will be held in the meeting room in the lower level of the library. Multiple employers will be present to help explore the jobs and careers that are available. This event is open to anyone who is looking for a job, or looking for a different career track. Coffee Time with a Cop to be Tuesday

The Kendall Young Library will host Coffee with a Cop starting at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in the meeting room in the lower level at the library, 1201 Willson Ave. in Webster City. This is an opportunity to meet those who are dedicated to keeping everyone safe in the city of Webster City. The event will last until 9:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend.

Van Diest Medical Center Trustees to meet Tuesday

The Van Diest Medical Center board of trustees will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the clinic board room at the hospital, located at 2350 Hospital Drive in Webster City. On the agenda is the FY 26 tax budget amendment, the audit engagement agreement, hospital management and strategic pillar reports, updates from Lisa Ridge, and internal announcements and community events.
