The Fort Dodge Choral Society will perform its final concert before summer this Sunday. The theme is “Music from the Big Screen,” featuring musical numbers produced for movies and television. Jacob Pedersen is the artistic director for the group. The concert will begin at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the Historic Phillips Auditorium. This is located at 1015 Fifth Ave. N. in Fort Dodge.
An open house will be held on May 14 by the Cub Scout Pack 583 and Troop 17. The event, which will showcase what types of things the scouts do, will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at the West Twin Park, 1100 Superior St. Information on joining any of the scouting organizations will be available. The retail committee of the Webster City Chamber of Commerce meets today at 9 a.m. at the Chamber offices board room at 624 Second St. in Webster City. The meeting will discuss the results from the Spring Stroll and continue planning for JunqueFest and the summer schedule of Market nights. All businesses are encouraged to join the Chamber of Commerce. All members can help in the discussion of upcoming projects coordinated by the Chamber.
