Legacy Learning Boone River Valley to host art social tonight

The Legacy Learning-Boone River Valley, will hold an art social starting at 5:30 p.m. today. The project for the evening will be to create garden stakes out of clay. There is no cost to participate, but freewill offerings to offset the supplies used will be accepted. Coffee and Create continues starting at 9:30 a.m. until noon each Tuesday through Friday at the Legacy Learning studio. These events will all be held at the Legacy Learning-BRV site, locate located at 723 Seneca St. For more information contact 515-835-1264.

Extension program at Ellsworth Library to help plan for family treasures

The Iowa State Extension service will hold the workshop “Who gets Grandma’s Yellow Pie Plate” May 13 at the Ellsworth Public Library. The library is located at 388 W. Main St. in Ellsworth. The program will run from 2 to 3 p.m. The program is designed for individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Regardless of financial status, culture, or family structure, everyone can benefit from planning ahead for the distribution of personal belongings. Spring concert of Fort Dodge Choral Society is Sunday

The Fort Dodge Choral Society will perform its final concert before summer this Sunday. The theme is “Music from the Big Screen.” The concert will begin at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the Historic Phillips Auditorium. This is located at 1015 Fifth Ave. N. in Fort Dodge.

WCHS Senior awards ceremony to be May 13

The annual awards ceremony for graduating seniors from the Webster City High School will be held at 6:30 p.m. May 13 at the Prem Sahai Auditorium. Scholarships and other awards will be announced at this time. Graduates and their families are invited to attend.

Teen events planned at Kendall Young Library

Kendall Young Library will hold a variety of teen events throughout May. Teen Lounge: Patrons in 6-12 grades are invited Tuesdays in May from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Teen Lounge will be held May 12, 19 and 26. As a special event on May 19, current fifth graders are invited to join the teens for an afternoon of Bingo.
