Faith United Church, 2020 Superior Street, will host Make a Joyful Bid Pork Supper and Auction on Saturday, April 12, at the church. The Pork Sandwich Supper is from 5 to 6 p.m. The cost is a freewill offering. The auction is from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. It will feature many unique items. “We are also looking forward to some great fun and fellowship,” Faith said in its media release.

Webster City Women’s Club will meet Monday

The Webster City Women’s Club will meet Monday, April 14, at the Jane Young House, 629 Elm Street, Webster City. This meeting begins at 1:30 p.m. Loween Getter will present a program: “First Ladies.” Any Hamilton County women are welcome to join in this event. The next open house and vintage clothing exhibit — “Let’s Go To The Movies” — will open on Saturday, April 26. The exhibit is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. While you’re at the Jane Young House, you are welcome to view the newly-remodeled kitchen.

Lehigh Second Sunday Supper is April 13

LEHIGH — The Lehigh Methodist Church will hold its Second Sunday Supper on April 13. This event will be from 5 to 7 p.m. in the church basement. The menu will be scalloped potatoes and ham, with a salad and dessert. The price is a freewill donation. Carryouts are available.

Historian Jeff Stein — Kendall Young Library will host Jeff Stein, historian and expert on Duane Ellett and Floppy on Saturday, April 5, at 3 p.m. His presentation “Where’s Floppy? Celebrating an Iowa Television Icon” is a great opportunity to walk back in time. In 1957, WHO-TV asked staff performer Duane Ellett to come up with an idea to help teach children how to better care for their pets. The Webster City Women’s Club will meet Monday, March 10, in the Fireside Room of Trinity Lutheran Church, 1229 Kathy Lane, Webster City.
