Glass sculpture workshop at Legacy Learning-Boone River Valley Thursday

A workshop to design a one-of-a-kind piece of yard art with recycled glass will be held at the Legacy Learning-BRV on Thursday. The workshop will run from 5:30 p.m through 8 p.m. The studio is located at 719 Seneca St. The instructor is Renee McDonald. The workshop cost is $45. The Cat Hut still accepting donations for rummage sale

The third annual Kitty Rummage Sale will be held Friday and Saturday. Donations from the community are still being accepted this week. The last day to take items to The Cat Hut is tomorrow during their open hours from 1 to 5 p.m. Donations can also be taken to The Ed Prince Building at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday and Thursday. ‘Little Mermaid, Jr.’ opens this week

Tickets are now on sale for the upcoming production of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid Jr.,” opening June 19 at the Webster City Community Theatre’s Performing Arts Center, 1001 Willson Ave. Performances will be presented at 7 p.m. June 19, 20, 26 and 27 at 7 p.m. and at 2 p.m. June 20, 21, 27 and 28 at the theater. There is both a matinee and an evening show on Saturdays. There is no show on Thursday nights. Tickets are now on sale. Admission is $15 for adults and $12 for students aged 18 and younger. Chamber retail committee meets Tuesday

The Webster City Chamber of Commerce retail committee will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the chamber office. The chamber is located at 628 Second St. All members are invited to attend.

Free summer lunch at West Twin Parks set for M-W-F

Each Monday, Wednesday and Friday, churches from the Ministerial Association will provide a free lunch for those needing a healthy meal. The meal is being served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at West Twin Parks which is located at 1100 Superior St. in Webster City. This week, the lunches are being prepared by the First Congregational United Church of Christ.

Brownie Sundae Drive-Thru at First Congregational tonight

First Congregational Church United Church of Christ invites the community to its annual Brownie Sundae Drive-Thru, to be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at 1000 Willson Ave. Freewill donations for the sundaes will benefit local food pantries. Here’s how it works: Going north on Willson Avenue, stop at the west entrance to the church. An attendant will come to the vehicle to take your order and receive your donation.
