SALT meeting features conservation program
The February Seniors and Law Enforcement Together meeting will be held Thursday, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Hamilton County Conservation Building, 2490 Briggs Woods Trail, Webster City. Refreshments will be served, and Van Diest Medical Center personnel will provide free blood pressure checks. The meeting will start at 9:30 a.m. with announcements from local law enforcement and officials from area agencies, and upcoming events from around Hamilton County. Non-denominational grief support group to meet Feb. 10
Restore Us Care Ministry is offering a nondenominational grief support group for individuals navigating loss, including death of loved ones, divorce, job loss, and other significant life transitions. The group provides a compassionate, space for connection, reflection, and healing. The ministry’s mission is to walk alongside the brokenhearted, recognizing that grief shared becomes grief lightened. Legislative forum rescheduled for Feb. 20
The legislative forum that was to be held Jan. 16, has now been rescheduled for Feb. 20. This event is sponsored by the Hamilton County Growth Partnership. The forum will be held at the Briggs Woods Conference Center located at 2501 Briggs Woods Trail. The morning forum will be held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Iowa Sen. Dennis Guth, R-Klemme, and State Rep. Shannon Latham, R-Sheffield, plan to attend. The original event was canceled when a winter storm was approaching. The event is free to the public, but registration is preferred through elizabeth@amesalliance.com.
Second Sunday Supper this weekend in Lehigh
The Lehigh Methodist Church will have its Second Sunday Supper from 5 — 7 p.m. on Sunday. The church is located at 978 Cedar St. This month the meal will be a variety of soups. At least half a dozen soups will be available to share. Those attending may bring a soup to share. Desserts and drinks will also be available. The cost is a freewill donation.
