Ribbon cutting tomorrow for new Osweiler’s ownership

The Webster City Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting for the ownership change of Osweiler’s at noon Friday. Osweiler's is located at 625 Second St. in Webster City. Osweiler’s, a cornerstone of the community since 1955, recently welcomed new ownership. Sonia Rodriguez, business operations and store manager, took over the business and officially reopened on March 2, bringing fresh energy while honoring the store’s long-standing tradition of quality and service. Webster City Women’s Club meets Monday

The next meeting of the Webster City Woman’s Club will be Monday. The meeting begins at 1:30 p.m at the Jane Young House, which is located at 629 Elm St. in Webster City. The greeter will be Bev Hayes and refreshments will be served by Shirley Bowman, Joan Nessa, LoEda Paine, and Kay Klaver The program is “Everything You Never Wanted To Know About Pickleball” presented by Carol Zills. The 24 hour fundraising event for The Cat Hut that ties into a nationalwide shelter fundraiser starts next Saturday at noon. Fundraising efforts continue throughout the week and weekend.

Second Sunday Supper is planned

LEHIGH — The Lehigh United Methodist Church will hold its Second Sunday Supper from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday at the church. This month, the church will again serve a hot turkey sandwich with potatoes and gravy, dessert and a drink. The cost is a freewill donation.

Kendall Young book club to meet tonight

The Kendall Young Library Adult evening book club meets today. The Adult Evening Book Club will be discussing the book “Ragtime” by E.L. Doctorow. The Kendall Young Library is located at 1201 Willson Ave. Entry is through the parking lot, and the discussion will be held in the lower level meeting room from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The May Book Club books will be available at this time.
