The Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce invites the community to celebrate the grand opening of Rock River Retreat with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon on April 22. Third Thursday Coffee to be held at Daily Freeman Journal

The Third Thursday Coffee, sponsored by the Webster City Chamber of Commerce, will be held at the Daily Freeman Journal Thursday. The Daily Freeman Journal is located at 720 Second St. in Webstser City. All are welcome to attend. The coffee runs from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Tours of the printing operation will also be conducted throughout the morning. Publisher Grant Gibbons will be attending to meet and greet. DAISY nominations sought

Van Diest Medical Center is now accepting nominations for the 2026 DAISY Award for extraordinary nurses. At VDMC, extraordinary nursing is often found in the quiet, meaningful moments, when a nurse takes extra time with both clinical expertise and genuine compassion. “These small acts of care don’t feel small to the people who receive them,” said Lisa Ridge, RN, MSN, CEO of Van Diest Medical Center. Hamilton County Supervisors meet at 9 a.m. today

The Hamilton County Supervisors will meet at 9 a.m. at the Hamilton County Courthouse. The Courthouse is located at 2300 Superior St. in the basement conference room. Wilson Brewer Park & Depot Foundation to meet Wednesday

The regular monthly meeting of the Wilson Brewer Park and Foundation will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Depot basement conference room. On the agenda is the approval of new board member Bill Greenley, realignment of officers, an update on the construction, setting up a new Friends of Wilson Brewer Park donation schedule, and work on an updated brochure.
